Certain trace elements are found in sperm and their status can dictate the quality of sperm. In other words, you need these to be fertile. These and other antioxidants help protect sperm and maintain quality such as motility and morphology. If you have male factor infertility, you should ensure your levels of these minerals is enough, but not too much in many cases.
