I want to help you understand why it’s important to exercise when you are trying to lose weight, that seems like a no-brainer but if you get it it may help motivate you to get back to the gym or or go dancing or play pickleball or or whatever it is that makes you happy is what you should be doing for physical exercise and activity

why it’s so important, so this old adage of of calories in calories out so whatever you eat you know burn a certain amount with exercise and activity and you’ll maintain your weight if you want to go into to a weight loss situation you need to burn more than you’re taking in that just hasn’t worked you know over time and we see it again and again for the most part because not all calories are created equal there’s calories that are very difficult to digest and there’s other calories that are are easily burned and utilized full of nutrition that help other factors in in metabolism but for the most part when we reduce our caloric intake or when we are actually in actually losing weight eventually after not too long a period of time our metabolism slows and when our metabolism slows we lose energy and and if we’re in that caloric deficit or reduction and our metabolism slows its ability to burn those same amount of calories is reduced so weight loss stops and maybe reverses and this is the yo-yo that we see and then you’re stuck in a lower energy state and climbing out of that hole is extremely difficult this is where exercise is imperative not only because you’re burning calories that you take in you know with exercise which i think we all understand now but in between your resting exercise energy sorry resting energy expenditure re is increased in between exercising so when you’re resting you’re losing weight more efficiently than if you are not exercising so at least three days a week get out get a sweat on enjoy yourself and and hopefully that helps understand why exercise is so important on the road to a little weight loss
